Nexen tires.

Nexen has spent the last two decades moving from a value name into the mainstream, with original-equipment fitments on ordinary family vehicles and a broad everyday range.

Where Nexen sits

Nexen sits in the crowded middle of the market, and it earned that spot the slow way: by getting picked as original equipment on ordinary passenger cars and crossovers. A carmaker putting a tire on a new vehicle is a colder judge than any advertisement, and it says the everyday range does what it claims.

The practical case for Nexen is breadth at a fair price. The range covers the commuter car, the family crossover and the light truck without asking a premium-badge price for any of them, and the winter fitments give Atlantic Canada drivers a genuine cold-season option in the same wallet range.

Where a premium tire still earns its price is at the extremes: the hardest braking on glare ice, the quietest possible highway ride. If your driving lives closer to the middle, which most driving does, the difference in price buys a lot of fuel and maintenance.

Who Nexen suits

Commuters replacing worn originals who want a straightforward, fairly priced set rather than a research project.

Households running two vehicles, where doing both properly matters more than putting a premium badge on one of them.

Drivers stepping up from the cheapest tier who want a name with original-equipment credibility behind it.

Whichever tire you choose, fitting is charged at our published flat rates, so the install cost is known before you decide on the tire.

How we back the tires we install

Coverage varies from one tire to the next, so we confirm the exact manufacturer coverage on the set you choose before you buy. We keep that paperwork on file, so if you ever need to make a claim the record is there and the claim goes through.

On our side of the counter the promises are simple. Sizing is worth double-checking before you buy: your door placard lists the tire size your vehicle is built for, and the sidewall of the tire you are replacing shows it too. Tell us what you find and we will gladly help you match it. We re-torque your wheels for free after your first drive, once everything has settled. And if a problem ever comes down to our workmanship, we make it right.

The honest math on price

A premium tire often costs less per kilometre over its life, because it can last longer and wear more evenly, so a lower sticker price does not always mean a lower total cost. We would rather show you the total you actually pay, tires plus fitting, than quote one number and let the other surprise you later.

Fitting is charged at our published flat rates, whether you need an on-rim swap or an off-rim change. See how long a set really lasts, browse all our tire services, or compare Nexen sets in the shop.

Nexen tires: common questions

Is Nexen a good tire brand?

For everyday driving, yes. Nexen supplies tires as original equipment to mainstream carmakers, which is a colder test than marketing: a manufacturer only fits what holds up. A premium tire still wins at the extremes, and if your driving lives there we will say so. For most commutes, Nexen does the job at a noticeably better price.

Does Nexen make winter tires for New Brunswick conditions?

Yes, Nexen's winter fitments are true winter tires with cold-weather compounds and winter tread patterns, which is the distinction that matters here. Tell us your vehicle and your commute and we will tell you honestly whether the Nexen option or a different tire in our catalog fits it best.

How much do Nexen tires cost fitted?

The tire price depends on your size, and fitting follows our published grid, which is on the pricing page and never a surprise at the counter. Search your size in our shop for a live tire price, and the checkout shows the whole number, tires, fitting, fees and tax, before you commit.

Do you have Nexen in stock in Fredericton?

The shop shows live availability by size, so rather than promising from a page that might age, search your size and you will see exactly what can be fitted now and what arrives on the next supplier run. Most sizes in the everyday range turn around quickly.
