Should I buy budget winter tires or premium all-seasons?

Winter tires, without much hesitation. This is the single most common version of this question and the answer rarely changes. Winter tires work through a compound that stays flexible below roughly 7°C — an all-season, however good and however expensive, progressively hardens in that range. Category beats badge here: the cheapest true winter tire is doing something the priciest all-season structurally cannot.

How long will a set of Hifly tires last?

Less than a premium set, generally, and we won't quote you a kilometre figure because it depends far more on your driving, your pressures and your rotation habits than on the badge. What we will say is that tread life is the main thing you're trading away at this price, so keeping pressures right and rotating on schedule pays back proportionally more on a budget tire than on an expensive one.
