Our workmanship warranty on the labour we perform, and how manufacturer tire warranties work when you buy from us. We publish what each manufacturer covers; we don't sell a warranty plan of our own.

Our workmanship warranty

All tire work performed at PitStop & Go is covered by a 30-day workmanship warranty. If a balance fails, a wheel weight comes off, a mount unseats, or a repair leaks during that period, bring it back and we'll redo the work at no charge. Tire repairs (interior patches) come with a leak-proof guarantee for the life of the tire, applied to the original patch we installed. This workmanship warranty covers our labour. It is a separate program from the tire manufacturer's warranty on the tire itself (below), with a different remedy: we fix our work, the manufacturer replaces or repairs their tire.

What the workmanship warranty doesn't cover

The workmanship warranty doesn't cover damage caused by impact (potholes, curbs), continued operation on a leaking tire, modifications performed after our service, road hazards, or normal wear. Pre-existing component issues, corroded studs, seized lug nuts, cracked rims, dry-rotted rubber, are flagged at the time of service and the warranty doesn't extend to subsequent failures of those items.

Manufacturer tire warranties: what we publish and why

New tires we sell carry the manufacturer's own warranty, not a plan of ours: we sell no separate paid road-hazard plan. Our role is to keep your receipt, odometer reading, and service history on file so that if you ever need to make a claim, it goes through cleanly. Bring the tire in and we handle the process with the manufacturer for you at no extra charge.

Sailun: road hazard coverage

Sailun tires we sell are backed by Sailun's own road hazard warranty: a free replacement if the tire is damaged by a road hazard and can't be repaired, within the first 2 years from your purchase date or the first 3/32 inch of tread wear, whichever comes first. If the tire can be repaired instead of replaced, Sailun repairs it rather than replacing it, and that repair is at your cost. Source: Sailun's Canadian Limited Warranty (sailuntire.ca).

Other brands: road hazard coverage

Road hazard coverage exists on many of the other brands we carry, but the terms vary a lot from one manufacturer, and even one tire line, to the next: which tread patterns are covered, how long coverage lasts, and whether it's a free replacement or a prorated one. Some brands cover it on certain patterns only and exclude others entirely, so we won't quote a single blanket figure for a brand that doesn't publish one. Eligible tires carry the manufacturer's own road hazard coverage. Terms, duration, and eligible tread patterns vary by brand and by tire line. We confirm the specifics for your tire at the time of purchase.

Materials and workmanship defects

Separately from road hazard coverage, manufacturers also warrant their tires against defects in materials and workmanship, a different program with a different remedy again. We don't publish a universal window for this either: bring your receipt and we'll confirm what your specific tire's manufacturer covers.

A defect or our error: not a return

If a tire is genuinely defective, or the wrong tire or wrong size went out because of an error on our part, that's a warranty and remedy matter, not a return. We put it right at no cost to you, a repair, a replacement, or a refund, and none of it carries a restocking fee. This is separate from, and doesn't follow, the rules on our Returns policy.

How to make a claim

Bring the vehicle or tire and your receipt to the shop during open hours, or call us at (506) 248-6006 to arrange a time. We will diagnose the issue and tell you on the spot whether the warranty applies. There is no fee to inspect a warranty claim.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PitStop & Go's liability for any claim arising from Services shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
