PitStop & Go
Our accessibility commitment and how to report a barrier.

Accessibility

PitStop & Go's accessibility commitment — working toward WCAG 2.1 AA on this website, and how to reach us if anything stands in your way.

Our commitment

PitStop & Go is committed to making our website and our shop usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. New Brunswick does not have a provincial accessibility statute like Ontario's AODA, but we take accessibility seriously in the spirit of the Canadian Human Rights Act and the New Brunswick Human Rights Act: nobody should be excluded from booking a tire change or a detail because of a disability. This page describes what we do today, what we are still working on, and how to tell us when something isn't working for you.

Our website standard

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as the standard we work toward on pitstopandgo.com. We have not been formally audited and we do not claim full conformance — this is an honest, ongoing effort, and we review accessibility as we build and change pages.

What we do on this website

Steps we take to keep the site accessible: • Semantic HTML — headings, landmarks, lists, and labels are used for their intended meaning so screen readers can navigate the page structure. • Keyboard operability — booking forms, menus, and interactive controls are designed to work without a mouse. • Reduced motion — animations respect your device's "reduce motion" preference. • Legible text — text sizes are kept readable and the layout reflows on small screens and at higher zoom levels. • Contrast — our dark theme is built to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios for text and interactive elements. • Alternatives — images that carry meaning have text alternatives, and form errors are described in text rather than by colour alone.

Known limitations

Some content comes from third parties we don't control — for example the embedded Google Map on our contact page and links out to social platforms and our customer portal. Those experiences are governed by their own providers' accessibility practices. If a third-party element blocks you from doing something on our site, contact us and we will help you complete the task another way (by phone or email).

Visiting the shop

Our shop and customer waiting area are at ground level at 300 Wilsey Road #1, Fredericton. Every vehicle, mobility need, and visit is a little different, so if you have an accessibility need — parking close to the door, help getting in and out of your vehicle, waiting in your vehicle instead of the waiting area, or anything else — please call us at (506) 248-6006 before your appointment and we will make arrangements to accommodate you. You can also book entirely by phone or email if the online booking flow doesn't work for you.

Request help or report a barrier

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this website or at the shop, or you need this or any of our policies in another format, contact us: • Email: info@pitstopandgo.com • Phone: (506) 248-6006 • Mail: PitStop & Go, 300 Wilsey Road #1, Fredericton, New Brunswick E3B 5J1 Tell us the page or area where you ran into trouble and what happened. We will respond promptly — normally within two (2) business days — and work with you to provide the information or service you were after.

Feedback and continuous improvement

Accessibility feedback is treated the same way as any other service issue: it gets logged, assigned, and fixed. We review reported barriers as we update the website, and we prioritize fixes that block core tasks like booking a service or contacting the shop. This page will be updated as our practices improve.
